Luanda Medical Center is a private provider of health services, which includes a laboratory for clinical analysis and imaging, more than 40 medical and surgical offices of low and medium complexity, and beds for the postoperative period.
The building is located on a corner plot of land and develops in two basement floors destined for parking and 17 elevated floors, 3 of them for parking and the rest for hospital use.
The structures are of frame-wall type, with columns and cores of resistant walls in reinforced concrete.
The excavation was carried out with a slurry wall as containment, with temporary anchors in the walls adjoining the street and the existing surrounding constructions.
The foundations are provided by a reinforced concrete raft slab. It was necessary to improve the soil compacity, due to the decompressing of the sand after the excavation. Injection was carried out with high pressure cement grout.
