The project consisted in the expansion, rehabilitation and repairing of the reinforced concrete structure of an existing building, built in the 1950s, to serve as the new headquarters of Banco Único.
Within the scope of the intervention, a new roof for the building was built, consisting of eight semicircular metallic arches, with calendered IPE profiles, transversal to the facade, which unload on a beam, supported by 4 reinforced concrete pillars, executed internally to the facade and which found in micro-piles, such as the expansion block.
In the connection of the new building tothe existing one, the balconies on the facade were demolished and columns were added to the face of the existing ones. These, together with the new staircase core, support the new slabs and guarantee the connection between the new construction and the old one.
